But before we discuss how much some of these HGTV stars are actually worth on paper, we need to discuss a few things. First of all, not all of these individuals have gotten wealthy off of their endeavors on their shows. Sure, appearing on any network show will pay your bills, but as far as the money that they’re making off of the houses – only a handful of them were extremely successful at it. And those are the ones we want to talk about – the ones who managed to not only master the property market, but practically apply it to their daily living and financial success. Over the years, there have been many popular HGTV shows on the air, and we want to go through the best of the best.
Whether it be House Hunters, Fixer Upper, or even Flip or Flop, all of these television programs manage to keep us entertained one way or another. Considering the fact that all of these shows have a similar subject matter, it really is a testament to the charisma and talent of the show hosts that they know how to give their own show a unique twist and personality that stands out. Whichever of these shows you decide to watch, you can bet your bottom dollar that you’ll probably get to see some of the most beautiful houses out there, with prices that can even reach a million dollars.
The fact is, as we watch these shows on our comfy armchairs at home, what these HGTV personas do looks a lot easier than it actually is. To us viewers at home, transforming a home from something “okay looking” to something extraordinary can sometimes seem like a magical process. But we’re only seeing the easy parts… what we don’t see is all of the rust, the grit, the pain, sweat, and tears that go into evolving these houses into beautiful works of art. The craft isn’t for everyone, and that’s why these designers are worth so much money.
